New ‘Pirate’ Ant Discovered in the Philippines may 29,2013

A new Ant species was discovered in the Philippines that is called the Pirate Ant. A scientist found this in the rain forest of the Philippines while she was looking for a special ant and when she saw the Pirate and she knew it was something that was never seen before. This Ant is called pirate ant because it has a light skin and their eyes look like if they had a back patch. Scientists think that this ant lives his hall like underground in complete darkness and this is why their eyes only receive a like bit of light also scientist think that the eye patches are used to confuse and distract predators.

This article interested me because I did not know that there where such a variety of ant species and specially such a rear species that lives in darkness, there for this means that we have a lot to discover underground that we dont know yet.

I can connect this to my daily life because in the past most of my articles have been about discovering new spices of animals and discovering new places. This means that I have a huge interest in new discovered stuff and usually the new species and places are soo unique that the interest that i find is also unique.

The area of interaction is environmental because as I said before there is a lot to discover in our environment that we have not discovered yet and every day we come closer to answers that in the past we did not have any idea.

Fish Uses Sign Language With Other Species 29 of april 2013

This article  is about how fish used sign language to get help when a predator attacks. This occurs in the coral reefs. This sing language is done with other species, specially eels and Napoleon Wrasse. When the fish calls help it takes up to 25 minutes so eel appears and helps the fish. The fish moves and shakes like a bell soo the other predators know that their food is there. The 3 animals do a group hut to get there food. They use each other so all 3 benefit.

This article I find it interesting because I could not believe that animals could talk to each others and I will never think that they could comunicate with other species.  Also this shows how in neture animals suport each other for their benefits.

I can connect this article with my real life because this shows that in the future we could talk with all the animals and we all benefit the humans and the animals, we could even save species in extinction because we could know what they need to survive.

This connects to the area of interaction that is environmental because is shows how we are discovering the world and the animals. it also shows how we know about them more and more and we also connect with them.

Ancient Lost Continent Discovered in Indian Ocean 25/02/2013

This article is about a new continent discovered in the Indian Ocean near Madagascar, that is called Mauritius. Scientists think that this continent is about 9 million years old and it was made by underwater volcanos that released there lava; New studies say that the island located in southeastern has some minerals in the beaches that are older that the island there for; the studies of the island showed that when the land separated Madagascar, india and Mauritius where together even before the Indian Ocean was created. This island is a quarter of Madagascar's size and when it separated from India and Madagascar it drowned. After a while this Island where the minerals are found came up to the surface again. People thing that there is evidence messing to make sure this microcontinent is real, but most people think this is true.

This article is very interesting because it shows something totally new something know one have heart about and some people in the article even call this microcontinent as Atlantis thats why I find it really interesting.

I connect this article in to my real life because people always say that everything humans need to know are already discovered and this article proves wrong and makes me want to discover something with a big inportant like this microcontinent.

The Area of Interaction of this article is Human Ingenuity because they show in the article the technology that scientist use to analyze this minerals and rocks to compare it with underwater sand form this microcontinent and probably in the next years people will find some big discoveries like this more often.

"Fantastic" New Flying Frog Found—Has Flappy Forearms 01/14/2013

This article is about a new flying frog found in Vietnam. This frog is very different form the other flying frogs because it has  flappy forearms and no other type of flying frog has arms like these. There are 80 types of flying frogs and this frog does not have any relation with the others. This frog is also very important because it can glide from one tree top to another.  However, scientists have only found 5 of these frogs. The biggest frog they have found is of about 9 centimeters. These flying frogs live about 100 kilometers away from urban areas and are very hard to find.

This article interested me because I did not know that frogs could fly and move about trees, like squirrels do, so I think that all animals have a secret weapon that they use in other to protect themselves. For example, some frogs are poisonous, some are the same color as the trees they live on, and some others, like this one, can glide away from their predators.

This article it connected with my daily life because during the Christmas break I went to Cayman Island and I saw a Flying fish so when I read the title of this article I thought that here they could explain how animals like fish and frogs can fly.

This article's area of interaction is Environment because it talks about how animals that in hundred of years just know you can find the difference between thanks to technology. Also this shows that this animals are very hard to find and if we keep destroying the environment in some point we will never find them again.

Gain for Gorillas 14/11/2012

http://www.timeforkids.com/news/gain-gorillas/59721

This article is about how is the general gorilla mountain population is  increasing around the world. according to the Ugandan WWF the Gorilla's population has grown with  94 more gorillas in the past two years creating an amount of 880 gorillas in total. This has being increased a lot since in 2000 there wear only about 320 gorillas. According to the WWF the gorillas are the only great ape specie that had and increase in there population. Rwanda is the home of 400 gorillas with 16 males and divided into 36 social groups.

This article interested me because  I use to watch a lot of discovery channel when I was about 10 years old and ones I saw this documentary about mountain gorillas and I saw that they were disappearing and know reading about this article that there numbers have inquired I liked to read about.

This connects to my daily life because Apes are one of my favorite animals and when I was in elementary I use to study in a school were all the trees had monkeys and my illusion was that one day a big gorilla will come out from there.

This article is in the area of interaction of environmental becuase its relating to the inviroment and how to save our fauna specially increase the number on animals that in a point were almost extenuated.

New Coelacanth Species Discovered in Texas 26/10/2012

Coelacanth species has been found in south africa. An Coelacanth is one f the oldest fish species leaving on earth. there are about 40 species of this fish and 2 of them are considerate living fossils. This new species was found in texas because one designer drew this fish fossils that he found in texas soo scientists started to look for this fishes in texas and they were smaller than the ones in South Africa.

This article interested me because this fishes are considerate living fossils and this fishes are very big and since I have never heard of it I wanted to try to read it so I know what this fishes are.

This article I can connected to my real life because I did not know that animals can be considered living fossils and this is something its good understanding of live.

I think this is a environmental issue because this is related to animal life and I like it because we are going into cells and I will like to know what it is to be a living fossil and I will like to know if it is realed to cells and genetics.

When I nazi group when to Tibet in 1938 they found a statue that is know as IronMan. The nazi's took this statue to germany where it has been keep in Munich until 2007. In the University of Stuttgart they analises this statue and they found out that the statue was made by a meteorite and this statue is worth $20000.

This article interested me because I did not know that  people could do statues from meteorite and I never hear about this before.

I can connect this article with my daily life because this can mean that bot only this statue, but other ones could be made by meteorite.

This is a area of interaction of human ingenuity because is soo impressive how human can do stuff in the past that we think were imposible
